National Student Survey (NSS) 2022

The National Student Survey (NSS) is used to inform future students about courses and universities across the UK. Undergraduates in their final year of study complete the survey.

NSS 2022

The 2022 NSS opened onÌý6ÌýJanuary, and is running untilÌý30ÌýApril 2022. Eligible students will be contacted directly by Ipsos Mori to complete the survey.Ìý

Results and comments from the National Student Survey are instrumental in driving improvements in the student experience across UCL. You can see examples of changes made in response to student feedback on the You Shaped UCL pages.Ìý

Completing the surveyÌýcan also help your department earn extra funds to spend in collaboration with students through UCL's NSS response rate incentive scheme.Ìý

The 2021 NSS ran from 6ÌýJanuary - 30ÌýApril andÌý72% of eligible students completed the survey.Ìý

UCL's response rate reward scheme

At UCL, departments can qualify for an additional allocation of funds to use in collaboration with students, when they achieve an NSS response rate of 70% or higher. The funds range from £250 to a maximum of £1,500 according to the size of the NSS-eligible cohort.Ìý
