TAT and Reporting

Please check with your Pathology office for copies of reports before contacting the National Amyloidosis Centre; all reports are copied to the appropriate department/ referring doctor where details have been provided. All reports are emailed to the referring clinician/laboratory confidential nhs.net account.

Please contact our generic email address, NAC HISTOLOGY rf-nachistology@nhs.net,  if you have not received a report. Please note, it is our policy not to issue verbal results. If a formalin fixed paraffin embedded block has been sent to the NAC it will be returned by recorded delivery with a copy of our report. Requests for copies of reports on the day that your patient is in the clinic cannot normally be accommodated; we usually require at least 24-hour notice.

We comply with the NHS TAT up to 4 – 6 weeks for amyloid Histology and Immunohistochemistry and up to 12 weeks for proteomic analysis.
