Through its world-class research and teaching and external engagement, and the way it operates as an institution, the UCLÌýcommunity of staff and students is playing a leading role in responding to the challenges set out in the UN SDGs.

TheÌýUnlocking the SDGs podcast series, whichÌýbrings together experts from across UCL and beyond to explore the SDGs,Ìýis hosted by Professor Priti Parikh (The Bartlett, Õ¬ÄÐÊÓƵ School of Sustainable Construction) and Professor Monica Lakhanpaul (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute for Child Health).

In this first episode of the second series, Johanna Zetterstrom Sharp (Associate Professor in Heritage Studies), together withÌýProfessor Nicola Miller, Institute of Advanced Studies,ÌýconsiderÌýthe question of culture. It isÌýa topic that hasn't beenÌýcentral to the SDGs to date, at least not explicitly, but perhaps should have been. They discuss what should be the role of culture, and can we achieve the goals without considering it?
