As an extension of Jamila’s undergraduate dissertation research, she has been accepted to participate in the upcoming online iteration of 3rd International Care Ethics Research Consortium Conference on Care, Aesthetics, and Repair in January 2025 where she will be presenting her paper "Mending as the Means: Yasmine El Meleegy’s enactments of care and reimagination of colonial memory through craft". 

connects researchers and scholars who work in the field of care ethics and care theory. It is an epicenter where people with a commitment to care from all continents meet each other. A community to freely explore and connect emerging insights on the topic of care with colleagues and peers, and share or co-produce publications, develop and execute research, and share teachings.
