The list听from Apolotico听highlights work that听has听influenced the policymaking process by providing insights into policy problems, contributing innovative ideas and solutions, or adding relevant and informative data.听Also each听nominee on the list听has been shown to be听committed to improving the work of government, and their research has already made an impact听in areas including employment and skills, Covid-19, social policy and climate and sustainability.听

Dr Priti Parikh was highlighted because of her work in climate and sustainability. Her research evidences the benefits of providing water, sanitation and energy infrastructure in low-middle income countries. Her听work听has influenced policy and practice especially the work around evidencing links between infrastructure and Sustainable Development Goals.

She provides strategic advice through her roles as board member for Happold Foundation and Engineer's Against Poverty and Institution of Civil Engineer's Council member.
