Dr Priti Parikh named as one of 100 Most Influential Academics in Government

BSSC Associate Professor and Engineering for International Development Research Centre Director, Dr Priti Parikh, has been named as one of 100 Most Influential Academics in Government

The listfrom Apoloticohighlights work thathasinfluenced the policymaking process by providing insights into policy problems, contributing innovative ideas and solutions, or adding relevant and informative data.Also eachnominee on the listhas been shown to becommitted to improving the work of government, and their research has already made an impactin areas including employment and skills, Covid-19, social policy and climate and sustainability.

Dr Priti Parikh was highlighted because of her work in climate and sustainability. Her research evidences the benefits of providing water, sanitation and energy infrastructure in low-middle income countries. Herworkhas influenced policy and practice especially the work around evidencing links between infrastructure and Sustainable Development Goals.

She provides strategic advice through her roles as board member for Happold Foundation and Engineer's Against Poverty and Institution of Civil Engineer's Council member.
