We are pleased to announce that UCL Biochemical Engineer PhD student Fatma Almulla has received the Ruler of Dubai Government excellence award under the category of “Pride of UAE in the research and academic future fields”.

Fatma is working under the supervision of Prof. Eli Keshavarz-Moore on improving the manufacturing of plasmid DNA for therapy and vaccines.
The award is the most prestigious and highest level in the country and winning any category of it for corporates and individuals is considered one of the highest achievements and a clear recognition of their outstanding and efficient performance. It also recognises potential future leaders of emerging sectors that are likely to be of high significance to the country, in Fatma’s case, biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
