Dr. Rupy Matharu's wins UCL Community Engagement Seed Fund for Oh Pod! x UCL. A podcast series that aims to bridge the gap between minority and marginalised communities in East London and academic researchers by facilitating open and honest discussions on mental health.

Dr Rupy Matharu, Researcher in Mechanical and Environmental Engineering and Chair of Engagement for the Institute of Healthcare Engineering has been awarded the UCL East Community Engagement Seed Fund for their project "Oh Pod! x UCL".Ìý

TheÌýOh Pod! x UCLÌýpodcast series aims to bridge the gap between minority and marginalised communities in East London and academic researchers by facilitating open and honest discussions on mental health.

"Oh Pod! x UCL" serves as a platform for meaningful conversations between members of East London communities and academics/researchers. By fostering these dialogues, the project promotes knowledge exchange and builds trust between the public and academia. The impact of the podcast has been far-reaching, leading to positive outcomes, including the receipt of the IHE Engagement Award for Co-Production in September 2023.
