To celebrate National Engineering Day (1 November), the Royal Academy of Engineering have partnered with Transport for London to develop a themed tube map, highlighting the achievements of Engineering Icons.ÌýÌý

National Engineering Day is run by the Royal Academy of Engineering. The day aims to make engineering more visible and celebrates how engineers improve everyday lives. The goal is to inspire people of all backgrounds to study science, technology, engineering (in particular) and mathematical subjects, and then pursue them professionally. Ìý

The themed TfL showcases and celebrates 274 engineers across 11 themes. It showcases the role engineering has played in shaping society and highlights the importance of the discipline for the future.Ìý

UCL Engineering conducts research across a broad range of disciplines, bringing new discoveries closer to the people wo need them. In teaching, our programmes are designed to engage students and give them the skills to address the world’s challenges. We change the world, and so a number of UCL Engineering researchers and alumni have been featured as part of the Engineering Icons Tube map.ÌýÌý
