°Õ³ó±ðÌý of university research excellence has again confirmed the top position of UCL Geography for national and global geographical research.

°Õ³ó±ðÌý show that UCL Geography continues to be ranked 2nd in UKÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý4th in globalÌý²µ±ð´Ç²µ°ù²¹±è³ó¾±³¦²¹±ôÌý°ù±ð²õ±ð²¹°ù³¦³ó.

While such metrical approaches to research quality may be treated cautiously, the consistency of UCL Geography’s position, rising steadily during the past decade, reflects its continuing success at the highest level of international research.

ShanghaiRanking has published the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) since 2009, and an Academic Excellence Survey (AES) since 2017 based on the opinions of more than 1000 professors from top world universities.

For 2021, more than 1,800 universities were ranked on the number of research papers published in Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌý, their citation by other authors, international collaborationÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýmeasures of research quality.
