Writing opportunities & publications

At UCL Laws, there are a range of journalistic and writing opportunities you can get involved in.

Silk v BriefÌý

The UCL Law Society'sÌýflagship publication, Silk v Brief,Ìýis published twice a year. Silk v Brief allowsÌýstudents to show off their writing and analytical skills on an issue or topic of their choice, and also acts as a platform for students to share their art or photos.

UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence

The is edited and published by postgraduate students of UCL Laws, and features submissions in all areas of law and jurisprudence.

Blogging

Many student societies and groups across UCLÌýhave their own blogs which their members contribute to. There are also opportunities to blog at UCL Laws:

  • The is theÌýofficial blog of theÌýUCL Centre for Access to Justice Student Pro Bono Committee, and welcomes student submissions on new perspectives and voices on access to justice issues, and reflections on their volunteering experience.
  • The Ìýprovides students with a platform to discuss and analyse global human rights issues from the past, present and future.
