Description

The dissertation is a sustained piece of individual research that is 10,000 words in length. Students’ dissertation topics will fall in the field of History and Politics of the Americas as defined by the broad parameters of the degree programme, will be linked to their Level 6 “special subject” module and supervised by the convener of that module.

Student contact hours will comprise: a briefing session with the dissertation course convenor at the start of term 1, covering the module requirements and reminding students about research skills covered earlier in the programme, plus dissertation workshops as part of the special subject module and individual meetings with the supervisor.
