Description

This team-taught module serves as an introduction to publishing research today. It will provide students with an understanding of different methodological approaches to research questions; ethical considerations; and managing and presenting materials and ideas, both in writing and orally. The module provides an overview of historical and contemporary trends within publishing research and how to approach them, with case studies drawn from researchers active in the field.ÌýThis module runs in the Spring term.Ìý

By the end of the module, students will be able to:

1.ÌýDemonstrate knowledge of applied research concepts and methods in publishing studies.Ìý

2. Conceptualize and deploy an independent research project on a publishing studies topic.Ìý

3. Present an argument through visual and oral delivery.
