Thurga R Navaseelan

Biography

Thurga Navaseelan is currently a visiting researcher at NSL (Nanoengineered Systems Lab) at UCL. Prior to this, she completed her BEng at King’s College London in Biomedical Engineering, followed by her MSc at University College London in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. She joined NSL as an MSc student for her individual research project and dissertation.

BEng: Fabrication of an Anatomical Phantom Model to Assess the Performance of Novel Intraoperative Optical Imaging Systems in Neurosurgery

MSc: A Fingertip Phantom to Study the Effect of Biomechanics in the Perception of Material Stiffnesses – as a part of the Sensorised Force Glove project

Misc: Neurosurgical training head and spine phantoms, Foetal head phantoms

I am continuing work related to my MSc, the force-sensorised glove and other phantom-based projects.
