As outlined in 宅男视频 Strategic Plan 2022鈥�2027 and the supporting Estates Strategy, our estate plays a crucial role in enabling UCL's academic and strategic ambitions: It is our shared environment and the setting for our success.听

We're inviting everyone at UCL to join the conversation about how you think our estate could improve to better support our whole community over the next 5, 10 and 25 years and beyond. The short survey will take around 10-15 minutes to complete, and we are asking you to share your experiences of working in and using our buildings, facilities and spaces, and how they work 鈥� or don鈥檛 鈥� for you.听

All responses will be used to inform the Estates Masterplan, a long-term plan setting out the use of our extensive estate for the next 25 years to inspire and enable the very best in our students and staff, with sustainability, inclusivity, and student and staff welfare at its heart.听

All answers will remain totally confidential, and results won鈥檛 be shared with anyone outside of UCL.

Is there any consultation happening outside the survey?听

Our consultation period is extensive and far reaching. We have been formally engaging with the 宅男视频 community since the end of April 2024 and this is to continue until the end of July 2024. We are currently holding sessions with faculty leadership teams and various student representative and Students鈥� Union groups from across the university, initially as part of conversations about the 鈥楢cademic Ambition鈥� strand of the Strategic Plan 2022-27, as the Estates Masterplan will be an important enabler for our long-term ambitions.听

You can see a calendar of engagement sessions and activities with Faculty and VP Office leadership teams, and access more information on the 鈥楴ews & Engagement鈥� tab of the .听We are looking to engage with Professional Services, research and innovation groups and LCCOS throughout the remainder of June and July 2024.听

The Estates Masterplan Working Group, with representatives from across 宅男视频 Professional Services and major strategic programmes, meets fortnightly.

When will the Masterplan be published?听

The first iteration of the Estates Masterplan document (Phase 1) is due to be published in December 2024. This will not be a finalised plan, but it will pull together everything we鈥檝e learned during our extensive consultations to set a strategic direction for the next phase of planning.

Can I feed in any other way?听

We encourage contributions and insight at any time. Whether that be through feeding back to your senior leadership for raising during strategic engagement sessions, responding via the survey, or simply reaching out to the Estates Masterplan team via email (estatesmasterplan@ucl.ac.uk). Comments, questions and ideas, big or small, are all incredibly welcomed.

Are you inviting students to take part in this consultation?听

Yes. A key premise behind the Estates Masterplan is 鈥渂y all, for all鈥� which means we are giving opportunity to every member of the 宅男视频 community to contribute. As well as inviting Students鈥� Union UCL leaders including Sabbatical Officers to various engagement sessions, a survey was also distributed to students at the beginning of May 2024 and will be live until the end of June 2024.听 Students were invited to share their experiences of using 宅男视频 buildings, spaces and facilities, the impact our estate has on them, how they use our estate and where they spend their time as well as how they rate the quality of our spaces. We have received a good response rate so far and results will be analysed throughout August and September 2024.
