PALS are delighted to announce that the PALS Green Day 2023 will take place on 14 March with activities taking place in the Chandler House atrium from 4.00pm.
We have a green-packed programme of events taking place from 4pm at Chandler House, currently including:
- Chilli planting
- Re-opening of Chandler House garden
- Promoting the JogOn initiative to recycle trainers
- Spinning a green-themed -spiral wheel
- Book exchange
- Green-theme competitions and prizes
- Reception with vegan food and drink
There will also be a Bedford Way book swap taking place from midday at the 26 Bedford Way Caf茅 where Hassan听will be exclusively serving vegetarian food throughout the day.
We鈥檒l also aim to update you all on the various PALS initiatives eg vegetarian catering; PALS No-Fly Zone; STOP PRESS 鈥� pull the plug on PLAS printing; the new Psychology of Climate Change module; and the 1st year poster competition on sustainability. Further information on our various initiatives can be found at: www.ucl.ac.uk/pals/about-us/pals-green-awareness and we would welcome to hear suggestions from across the Division on other initiatives we could adopt.
During the day, the PALS plasma screens will show environment themed clips and information while the infamous green feet will be on display to encourage staff and students to use the stairs instead of lifts.
