Administration

SEAHA has four administrators and one finance officer across our three university partners of UCL, University of Oxford, and University of Brighton. Find out who they are and their roles below.

Helen Skundric, SEAHA Manager, UCL

Helen manages SEAHA and is responsible for the overall student administration, events, and student support within the Centre. Helen also manages the UCL ASCR (Staff Common Room).ÌýÌý

Sue Gammerman, SEAHA Finance Officer, UCL

Sue is responsible for managing the overall finances within the Centre. Prior to joining UCL Sue was a research finance officer at Royal Holloway.

Dr Julie Eklund, SEAHA Administrator, University of Oxford, to 2022

Before becoming the Oxford SEAHA administrator, Julie was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford in heritage science for 5 years. ÌýShe has worked on several projects investigating the preservation and conservation of stone heritage and archaeological material.


Emma Newell, SEAHA Administrator, University of Brighton, to 2021

Emma supports the SEAHA students at the University of Brighton, organises SEAHA events and handles student administration as well as dealing with PhD admissions. Emma has a degree in Psychology from Sussex University after which she went intoÌýOffender Learning for 10 years. After deciding it was time for a change, sheÌýjoined the Careers Service at the University of Brighton for 2 years, before moving to the Doctoral College in 2018.Ìý


Fiona Sutton, Deputy Doctoral College Manager, University of Brighton

Fiona Sutton Brighton University
Fiona is the Deputy Manager of the Doctoral College at the University of Brighton where she hasÌýworked since 2011. Her role includes looking after the Doctoral Training Partnerships that fund some of the Postgraduate Research students at Brighton. SEAHA is a wonderfully diverse family of students, supervisors and research and at Brighton, sheÌýlooks after the finances and contracts for the Brighton cohort.
