The second lecture organised as part of the Polish Parliamentarism and Democratic Traditions project.ÌýÌý

Professor White received her PhD at the London School of Economics, where she submitted her dissertation entitled "Cultural Enlightenment in the USSR, Hungary and Poland 1953-1987: Ideology and Leisure Policy".Ìý One of her recent monographs (2011) is entitled Polish Families and Migration since EU Accession.

The aim of the 'Polish Parliamentarism and Democratic Traditions' project is to popularise knowledge of Polish History and increase the awareness of British public opinion of its importance for the process of democratisation of Central and Eastern Europe.
