Participants may wish to review sections 1 to 3 of the online course before attending this workshop.Ìý

This workshop is comparable to the ‘Introduction’ and ‘Remote’ personal tutoring workshops from previous years.

In this session we will:Ìý

  • review Õ¬ÄÐÊÓƵ approach to personal tutoring and your role within it
  • discuss some challenging scenarios
  • talk about how to advise, signpost and support students using UCL's Student Triage and Referral Tool (STaRT)

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • understand the role and purpose of a personal tutor at UCL
  • understand and implement personal tutoring best practices
  • develop their approach to personal tutoring

Early career; mid career; personal tutors; education leaders; any staff new to Personal Tutoring at UCL or experienced staff looking for a refresher/update on ideas and support for students and staff.
