The aim of this 5-year project, funded by the National Institute for Health Research, is to establish a digital care pathway for managing chlamydia treatment, building on an existing design concept but ensuring that it is usable (and welcomed) by people with chlamydia and their sex partners while also being digitally secure, clinically safe, accessible to as many people as possible, and scalable to diverse healthcare providers.Ìý

HCI pervades the project, from questions of how to respect some people’s desire for anonymity while enabling them to be accurately identified on minimal information to questions of how to design sensitively for people whose biological sex and gender identity differ.
